Travel Health
If you are planning a trip please make an appointment for a Travel Consultation with one of our Doctors. During the consultation the GP will determine what your vaccine schedule will be and will send a prescription to your chosen Pharmacy. When the Pharmacy has your vaccines in stock, please book an appointment with one of our Nurses to have your vaccines administered. It is important to give yourself plenty of time to get your vaccines before your travel date as vaccine supply can be an issue for many Pharmacies currently.
NB: Remember that your vaccines must be refrigerated so either
A) collect them from your Pharmacy and come directly to your Nurse appointment
OR
B) Collect from the Pharmacy and leave in your fridge before bringing them directly to us for your appointment.
If you become unwell after your return, even up to a year after return, please mention when seen that you have travelled recently.
If you are travelling within the European Union you will need to apply for a European Health Insurance Card to cover you for doctor visits while away. You can get further information and apply for your card here.
