Newborns

Our Paediatric care starts at birth. As part of our structured (and free) antenatal combined care for expectant Mothers, we offer two week and six week wellness checks to our newest patients. We are also happy to address any concerns during the neonatal period. If you didn’t sign up for combined care during your pregnancy, you can still book your baby for the 2 and 6 week checks and our usual consultation fee will apply.

GP Visit Card

We encourage all parents to register their new babies on the Under 8 free GP card which we accept in our practice. You will need your baby’s PPS number to register. Go to Under8DVC You can choose either Dr. Claire Fitzsimmons or Dr. Kathleen McClory and your child will be eligible to be seen by any of the doctors here.

Childhood Immunisation

We provide the national free childhood immunisation program in the practice which starts at two months of age and continues to 13 months. For details of that programme please click on the HSE information site here.

Chicken Pox
Vaccine

The Chicken Pox Vaccine is not covered by the HSE. If your child is over 13 months and you are interested in the chicken pox vaccine please contact us directly. We can supply a prescription €20 and send it to your chosen Pharmacy and then there is a charge €30 for each Nurse Consultation to administer the vaccine.  Two vaccines are required, two months apart.
